Obituary of Peter Cornelius Unrau

UNRAU, Peter Cornelius

It is with great sadness that Bonnie (Isobel), Leigh-Anne, Joeann and Paul announce the passing of our husband, father and brother on January 5th, 2021. He died peacefully at West Haldimand General Hospital after a brief illness.

He is survived by his Beloved wife, Bonnie, daughter, Leigh-Anne (Paul), granddaughter, Hope, sister Joeann, brother-in-law Ron, nieces and nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude, father, Cornelius, sister, Dorothy, brother, William and sister-in-law, Sandi.

Peter was an active community member with a love for his Church Family at Grace United Church, the Bells of Grace (member), the Caledonia Men’s Club (past president), and the members of the Haldimand Habitat for Humanity (he was a volunteer and treasurer). Peter had a great talent for building and construction and loved to tackle new projects. He loved sports, especially golf and cars of all types.

Peter was a bright light for all that new him and will be dearly missed by family, friends and neighbours. A celebration of life will follow later in the year.
