Smith, Tawnya Millicent Rose

Peacefully, on Sunday, December 27, 2020, in her 44th year, passed away at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton. Tawnya will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dave, her sons William and Lucas, her mother Rosalie, sister Natasha (Bill), brother Benjamin (Melinda), mother in-law Susan (Mark), father in-law Ross (Rose), and brother in-laws Mike (Christine) and Steve (Shasta). She joins her father Cedric, her beloved schnoodle, Mister, and countless family members and friends. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and many friends. Tawnya was a loving, gentle and intelligent young woman, with a kind heart and sharp wit. She will be best remembered nurturing her sons, of whom she was endlessly proud, binge watching Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, and spending time with family. She was thankful for and very proud of her years spent with her team at McMaster University, as the Chief Internal Auditor. The family thanks the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their care. A private service will be held at the Miller Funeral Chapel in Caledonia. Cremation to follow. For Tawnya, it was sadly not nearly a long enough time running, but it will be well worth the wait until we can meet her again.
